No Adware - Remove Adware and Spyware
April 18th, 2009 by adminGoogle was a handy source of references to a law school student whose thesis was on money laundering. While writing her paper, the student found this to be a very important tool. Soon, she began to have the problem of her search terms taking her to pages completely unrelated to money laundering.
As the problem refused to go away, she had no other choice but to realize that she had been bugged because a problem with the search engine or her internet connection would not have been as persistent. Despite being annoying, when the bugging comes from a human, it can be gotten rid of. Ridding ourselves of the no adware and spyware that had infected the student’s computer, on the other hand, can be much more difficult. The student does not have advanced technology training and like most average students, she uses her laptop only for basic research and the writing of her papers.
Spyware and adware are increasingly frequent computer bugs that cause many people just like the law school student to experience frustrating technology problems. Originally introduced in the year 1995, the phrase ’spyware’ became popular in the year 2000. Personal information becomes readily available to another party once the computer user unwittingly downloads a computer script or software program onto their computer.
Typically examining the keystrokes and browsing history of the computer user, this spying can also include hard drive infiltration. Through outlandish tactics that would seem at home on a James Bond film set, spyware attacks and preys upon normal people every day. Infiltrations such as these are basic privacy violations and the people targeted are indeed innocent victims. Many claim that spyware can be used against criminals and is therefore providing a valuable purpose, but what about the spyware that is used to gain such information as credit card details’ The need for a great, up to date anti-spyware program should be obvious.
While blocking spyware, you should also block adware and malware to fully protect your system. This is made easy by getting one of the many adware and spyware blocker programs that are available online. Viruses and worms manage to prevent regular computer usage by their self replication, but although spyware, adware and malware do not self replicate, they too can cause disturbances in the daily activities of computers. One such problem caused by these software programs is the fact that they cause the computer itself to slow down. Scarily, spyware can bury itself so well within a computer system that its identity can go undetected, even if its handiwork does not. The best step is always a good offense, in this case a blocker, to prevent your system from becoming infected with the malicious programs.
